    Whether it is a conveyor chain or a chain for other purposes, heat treatment is basically required after the production is completed, in order to further strengthen its performance.There are many heat treatment chains commonly used in conveyor chains, including annealing, normalizing, quenching, tempering, carburizing, nitriding, carbonitriding, boronizing, and aging treatment.

 


    The important thing to mention is the aging treatment and surface quenching of the conveyor chain. The aging treatment can be divided into natural aging treatment and artificial aging treatment. The former is the aging phenomenon that occurs when the conveyor chain is placed at room temperature or stored for a long time under natural conditions. ; The latter is an aging treatment process that heats the conveyor chain to a higher temperature and performs aging treatment in a shorter time.


 


    When some conveyor chains are used, under the action of alternating load and impact load such as torsion and bending, its surface layer bears higher stress than the core part, so it will continue to be worn, so the surface of some conveyor chains The layer puts forward the requirements of high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance and high fatigue limit. Only surface strengthening can meet the above requirements.


 


    It is precisely because the surface quenching treatment has the advantages of small deformation and high productivity, it plays an extremely important role in improving the surface performance of the conveyor chain and is widely used in the production process of the conveyor chain.According to different heating methods, surface quenching can be divided into induction heating surface quenching, flame heating surface quenching, electric contact heating surface quenching and other different methods.


 


    Taking the induction heating surface hardening of a conveyor chain as an example, only the conveyor chain needs to be placed in the inductor. When an alternating current of a certain frequency is passed through the inductor, an alternating magnetic field will be generated around it.Due to the electromagnetic induction of the alternating magnetic field, a closed induced current can be generated in the conveyor chain.


 


    When the electric energy of the high-density current on the surface of the transport chain is converted into heat, the temperature of the surface can be increased to realize surface heating.The higher the current frequency, the greater the current density difference between the surface and the interior of the workpiece, and the thinner the heating layer. After the critical temperature of the steel is exceeded, the quenching is completed by rapid cooling.
